WOOLSTON TOWN BOARD.

The Woolston Town Board Commissioners held their ordinary monthly meeting last Thursday evening. The following Commissioners >v.T. e present: —Messrs W. Bpwrou, A. Webster, G. Ticknor, C. Freeman, G. Scott and the Chairman (Mr T. York). A letter was received from the Canstc-iurch Drainage Board asking for the-revised valuation of the rate roll. The Clerk was instructed to supply the information. A legal opinion was received from Mr T. S. Weston re striking rates. .Mrßowron gave notice that he would, at the next meeting of the Board, move that aformer resolution, offering to collect the drainage rate free, be rescinded. Mr Ticknor, on behalf of the Works Committee, stated that the road leading from Princess street to the Jubilee Home was now formed and metalled, and moved that It be taken over and called Jubilee street, which was agreed to. As complaints were being made of persons catting willows on the banks of the river aad depositing rubbish into the same, the Board decided to give notice that they would prosecute any person so offending. After passing various accounts for payment, the meeting terminated.
