PAGE'S ROAD.
TO THE EOITOB. OP "THE PRESS." Sir, —As I am continually being asked when Page's road, Boxley. is going to be constructed, perhaps you will permit mo to nive the information through your columns. The Hcathcote Council has applied to tho Governor for power to construct tho road, charging 10 per cent, of the cost against the Christchurch City Council and 40 per cent, against the New Brighton Borough Council, tho remainimr 50 per cent, to bo paid by Bexley. When that authority is given, and not' before, tho road will bo constructed. Tho road is now under tho control of Hcathcote, and is etitain to be formed and metalled as soon as the necessary authority is obtained, wltich I expect will not be for cne or two months yet. Meanwhile nothing whatever can be done.—Yours, etc., GEO. K. BURTON.
