OBITUARY.
. MR CHARLES KIDSON. This morning Mr Charles Kidson, the Christchurch sculptor, died at his residence on the Cashmere Hills. He had been ailing for a long time, although recently his health had improved somewhat. He was born in Birmingham, England, and went through a course of artistic instruction there. During his stay in Christchurch he has beea a member of the teaching staff of the School of Art, and his w r ork as a sculptor has attracted much attention. One of his most recent works wa6 a bust of the late Sir John Hall. Mr Kidson leaves a widow and three children, one but a baby of six weeks.
