The usual monthly meeting of this Board took place on Monday, September 6th, at the Boad Board office, Y«_dhursfc "r Present-ii Messrs Bailey (chairman), Carpenter, Hepworth, JoneaV aid Sinclair. ". was received from residents in the river bed, calling the attention of the Board to the necessity fori forming the roadieadirig from their property across the river bed to its intersection with road already formed between sections 2091 and 2097> and pointing out the convenience it would be for their ordinary traffic, and also for the use of their children, who will attend the Yaldhurst school when opened. Messrs Leatbam, Parish, and Thomas, made application to the Board for an extension of time to carry out and complete the several works in their hands, which was granted. The Board having received several complaints from ratepayers about cattle grazing on the roads, it was resolved —"That', t—e clerk write to : the .▼_rious parties complained of, and inform them'that if their cattle are found grazing on any of the roads in the Templeton district after date, legal proceedings will be at once taken against them." brick or stone culvert at the Templeton railway station gates, and see the chief earyeyor, and gets road laid off across the river bed, from the end of present formation of road running between sections 2091 and 20P7, to the intersection of the Fendaltown road, near Raply'a section ; also to get a road laid of aero— reserve 702 from the south-east corner of Bucknall's section, running in a south-west direction, to the intersection with the Rifle Batt road; and advertise for tenders for next Board day, for the formation of both roads, and also for the formation of about 30 chains of *cad running from the Harewood road towards the Waimakariri between sections 1799 and 6095. The surveyor was also instructed to get the gates and posts on referves 321 and 322 painted, and bring in a report next sitting of the Board upon the state of the immigrants' cottages, and get other necessary work done. The monthly pay sheet, amounting to £220 Os 9d, having been adopted and passed, the meeting adjourned.
