AVON. The Board met on Feb. 26; presentAll the members except Mr Dici;enson. — The report of Surveyor was read (in hia absence through an accident), received, and adopted. It was resolvod — Th«t the footbridge over the Avon be gone on with by labour of the Board, under supervision of carpentor as per report. — That parties interested in Vaguo's road be informed that, on its dedication ha^f ohain wide all through, the Board would considerthe matfor. — Mr Sisaon waited on the Board, asking that thn footpath bo .continued to the Bshool road. Permission was granted, subject to approval of the Surveyor to the Board. — it was resolved that Mr Knight be informed that the Board consider the present drain sufficient. — After Mr Wild had interviewed the Board on tho matter of the Sawyers' Arms road, it was resolved that the previous offer of tho Bjard bo confirmed as to paying £1 per chain for fenoing, and that no other offer would be made. — A letter was read from Mr F Smith re the forming of Codling's road, and Mr Smith, it was decided, should be informed that nothing could be done unless tho road waß made h»lt° a ohain wide throughout — It was resolved that A. Philpot's road be formed with material from tho Bide »of the road, and tenders be invited accordingly.
