-♦ On. Saturday, April 11, there passed peacefully away an early colonist, in the person of Mrs Elizabeth Hobb,s. Mrs Hobbs arrived in Lyttelton with her parents in tho ship Dominion in the year 1851, and lived all the earlier part of her. life in that town. She married the late' Captain Joseph Hobbs, who for many years traded from that port, and was well known in shipping circles. She leaves a family of three sons and three daughters. At Palmerston Worth, Mr Jubal Fleming, well-known in Ohristchurch, died suddenly at 8.20 o'clock this morning, aged fifty-nine.
