WAIRIKI.
Saturday night's dance at Wairiki was a great success. ..Our little M C was full of go, and seemed to have quite got over his exertions at the previous dance....! S is having a bad run. A P has beaten him for the P'uhi belle. ..Why was W C absent from the hall ? Has he given up in despair ? Or has the Sunday girl been pulling his hair ?...Is K McGstill looking after MII for his brother ? Be careful, M, that his affections don't deepen. ..The Puhi has had a great attraction for M R of latc...J B has taken to the gum fields since K Mc(J has taken M H in charge... Who was the young lady that thought AI, looked like a statue sitting in the corner ?....! F seemed to have no centre of attraction. Was it because M C was not there ?
