Bill (reading fashion notes): I see that the Eton crop has gone out of fashion.
Dad (slightly deaf): So it should, wot with no rain for two months, and them wethers nibbling the oats to the earth. So it should, I say!
Bill: This 'ere paper is talkin' about 'air, not rain, sheep, and oats.
Dad: Well, yes, it's ether in the air, or somethink, that stops the rain comin'.
