PARAMOUNT THEATRE.
"Noah's Ark," the spectacular sound-syn-chronised and part-dialogue film version of tl)6 deluge calamity as chronicled in tho Book of Genesis, is now in its second week at the Paramount. Theatre. The acting of beautiful Dolores Costello, Noah Beery, George O'Brien, and the other principals is distinct, and adds power to the dramatic and emotional scenes, and enlivens the comedy. Tho story is in two parts—a modern war story which culminates in the destruction of a French village, and the imprisoning of the principal characters under the buildings destroyed by tho wars and flood of steel and blood, which is tho device used for carrying the same set of characters back into the days of Noah and the Biblical flood of water. Miss Costello, the Mary of the modern story, beloved of Travis, a young American, is the Miriam of the flood sequences, while Travis acted by George O'Brien, becomes Japheth, son of Noah, in love with Miriam. In support are a Paramount Sound News and an entertaining Spanish sketch, featuring beautiful Lina Basquette.
