■ With the holiday season and long .tours just ahead of us, it is well to remind motorists that old tires are not advisable either from the point of view, of service, or economy. The place for .old tires is running about t(nyn; not only, are punctures easily dealt with, but immediate repair is of no great moment. The tire can be left at a garage for attention and be picked up at - any t^me. Besides this, however, is the fact that, generally speaking, the roads about town are good and easy on tires; a careful driver can get wonderful; service from covers that would not go. a dozen miles on an actual tour. 3Tor the holiday see that the car is properly shod, and little road trouble will- be■; experienced. The new tires .can be,.removed after the return homo and the old ones set back in commission to live out their days in easy circumstances.
