TO PICTON ON BOXING DAY.
The turbine steamer Maori will run an excursion to Pieton on Boxing Day, leaving Wellington about 8 o'clock in the morning. Pieton should be reached before 11 a.m., and the. excursionists can take a special train which the Railway Department has arranged to run to Bitnheim and back, connecting with the excursion boat both ways, or can spend the time in Pieton exploring the surroundings or watching the power-boat racing which will be in progress. The Maori's run back down Queen Charlotte Sound will be commenced about 2 p.m., and the vessel should reach Wellington again about 5.30 p.m.
