DETEOIT, 20th December.
Miss Bertha Cleavenger, aged 43 won a judgment for £90,000, which is the largest ever awarded in the United States for a breach of promise action. In .1917 she arrived from the country and'started a rooming-house business Mr. John Henry Castle, one of her boarders, worked iv the Ford factory at £1 per day. Then they became engaged and the girl loaned Castlo £200, starting him in real estate business, his partner being Mr. Henry Ford's brother. He made a fortune ° \% miJ llon- Two years ago Castle notined her that he had married someone else. The trial lasted six weeks.
