SHELTER FOR FISHERMEN.
Mrs. E. Thorniey, proprietress of the Titahi Bay accommodation house, states that it is untrue that she refused shelter to the Italian fishermen whose launch, the Sfcilia, was driven ashore during the night of 4th December. During the twenty-six years in which she has been in charge of the house, she says, nobody has been refused shelter. Had sha been informed that- the crew were in difficulties,- sho would, as on previous occasions when Qthers have sought shelter, have put her hpuse at their disposal.
