The following candidates have been duly nominated for the office of Councillors of "the Borough of St Albans. The nominations closed at noon to-day. There are three Councillors to be elected: — Bromley, Francis Augustus Brown, WiUiam Alexander (Auctioneer) Brown, William (Gardener) Kelly, George Mann, John Neata, Walter John Penteney, James Rountree, John Ward, Joseph Frederick Mr George Frederick Spooner was also nominated, but the Returning-Officer (Mr Beatson) held that the nomination was informal, because the names of the nominators were omitted from the head of the nomination paper.
