Licensing Committees.
CHRISTCHURCH SOUTH-WEST. i The quarterly meeting of the Licensing j Committee for Christchurch South-west j was held to-day at noon in the City Council ! Chambers ; present — Mr John Anderson ; (Chairman), and- Messrs J. P. Jameson, I R. Westenra, J. D. Macpherson, and R. j Struthers. j White Horse Hotel. — Mr Maude applied ; for the license to be given to Mrs Elizabeth j Clark, widow and executrix of the late licensee. I Inspector Pender made no objection, and I the application was granted. Zetland Arms Hotel. —Mr Maude j applied for a temporary transfer license to j Mr Twentyman Wilson, who had married the widow of the last licensee ; and stated that, dt the next meeting of the Committee a peraianent transfer would be applied for. Inspector Pender made no objection. The application was granted. White Swan Hotel. — William Morgan applied for a permanent transfer from Robert Dearaley. Inspector Pender made no objection, and the transfer was granted. This wa3 the whole business.
