Mosgiel Woollen Factory.
THE ANNUAL MEETING. [Pbb Peess Association.] DUNEDIN, Nov. 20. At the annual meeting of the Mosgiel Woollen Factory Company, a report, recommending a dividend of 8 per cent was adopted. Mr John Roberts, the Chairman, in reviewing the history of the year's operations, said it had been a satisfactory and pleasant one. Tuey had started with misgivings, as the prospects were gloomy ; but they were now muoh mote cheerful. Beferring to the Melbourne Exhibition, he said the exhibits of the Company's goods i had not only been appreciated by every ( New Zealander who visited the Exhibition, ! but had been a universal object of attraction to all who attended. Victorians and people from other Colonies were not slow to give praise to these goods. The effort made by the Company had been rewarded very handsomely, in causing an increased demand for the Mosgiel goods ; and the sales that had resulted since the opening of the Exhibition had amply repaid the Company for the outlay. Messrs E. B. Cargill and H. F. Hardy were re-elected Auditois. It was decided to authorise the Directors to subscribe £250 towards the guarantee fund of the local Exhibition.
