They had driven twelve feet to meet us ; the water at one time teing very high in their tunnel. Have not yet had time to examine seat of cave in old channel. Fear I cannot see much for some days yet. Cannot, of course, sluice any of it out till the timber is restored and an opening made through the choked part. Miners quite well."
