THE WEATHER.

[Per Pkbss association.! TIMARIT, Nov. 14. Heavy seas have been running here from the east to the south-east for some days, and yesterday afternoon the sea was as heavy as for many years. A little damage was done to the breakwater, and a large quantity of shingle was carried over at the end of the wharf. The sea was much reduced this morning, but is still heavy. A cold south-west rain set in at Oxford on Friday at midnight, and has continued to time of writing (Sunday, 9 p.m.), with no signs of abating. The rivers are in high flood, and) communication is impossible. Shorn sheep have had a hard time of it, and many losses are reported. Grass is fairly abundant, and wheat said other crops are looking extremely well. All that is required now is bright warm weather to insure good prospects to the fanners.
