AMERICAN WHEAT
ACREAGE OF WINTER CROP

WASHINGTON, 20th December. ' An aggregate of 43,690,000 acres ofwinter wheat is sown this autumn, according to the Department of Agriculture. This acreage is 102.0 per cent, more than that sown, last season. The condition of winter wheat on Ist December was 86 per cent, above normal. The abandonment of winter wheat in 1929 is 6.2 per cent, of the average 1 sown. ■•.■■■■
