ELECTORAL.
[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Nov. 20. Messrs Collins, D. P. Fisher and Naughton withdrew their nominations as labour candidates which were given without th^ir consent. . A ballot of the Workers' Political Association resulted in favour of Mr Homblow by 39 to 25, against Mr T. Carmichael. The former, therefore, becomes the labour candidate for Wellington. He supports the Liberal Party. Efforts are being made to induce one of the leading citizens to stand in the Liberal interest for th© city, v The name is kept ! secret, but the Liberal party claim that if he stands he will command a following which will make his election certain. On Saturday evening, at the Cust Institute Hall, Mr R. Moore addressed a wellattended meeting of electors. Mr W. F. Conway presided. The candidate received a good hearing, and at the close replied to ; several question?. Mr Robert Kingsbury i proposed a vote of thanks to Mr Moore for I his address, and confidence in him as our ; future member. This was seconded by Mr 1 Isaac Waiting.
